You have the choice of buying Calibre software to help you with your music collection. Although it is very nice to be able to purchase a good product like this, I do not think it is necessary for many people. I use a Mac and I do all my music downloads with an Apple product. I do not need to pay a lot of money for this service. I have found it to be just fine for me. If you would like to try out a free Calibre application, then follow the steps below.
First of all, go to the download page for Calibre in the App Store. Download the application and open it up. The applications are compatible with a wide variety of Macs and PCs, so you will want to pick the appropriate one for your machine. If you are using a PC, go ahead and install it onto your PC. Once you have done that, you can go ahead and start downloading your music. It does have a few limitations as far as functionality, but it is better than nothing.
The other options you have for a free Calibre application are emailing it to yourself. Many people download the application and get excited about how easy it is to use, but forget to open it up and copy the link. This is not the best option for you because you are sharing it with the world and you should not make things worse by not following the directions properly. Also, you will lose the ability to retrieve the application after you stop using it. This is something that you should consider doing, as well.
